Algebra 2 question? (About graphing & domains)?

Okay, it has to do with grahping and stating the domain.

For example: y=√x + 3 (Graph)

I know how to graph it, I just don't know how to write out the domain. I know the domain is 0 , infinity, but I'm confused about the parenthesis:

is it (0,infinity] or [0,infinity), or (0,infinity) ??? My teacher completely confused me. All I know is that the [ ] are used when you don't count the number, and the ( ) is when you don't... Or the other way around... Thanks for the help :)

The domain would be all of the x-values.

The range would be all of the y-values.

I assume you are talking about interval notation when you are speaking about parenthesis. [infinity,7), (2,6), (0,5] these are examples of interval notation.

Once you graph it this part should be easier. I think that the domain would be all real numbers and the range would be [0,infinity). Please double check though because it has been a while since I did this type of problem. Hope this helps!
