  • Trigonometry Question (Triangles)?

Um so my other question got deleted ? Whatever.

So I reallyyy don't understand how to find the solutions to a triangle. Here's the question:

    Find the solutions of triangle RST when r = 13, S = 140 degrees, and s = 10

I drew out a triangle, and I know that I need to find the last side to be able to use the law of cosine. I just dont understand when to use sine, cosine, or tangent to find the last side.

Help me out, I'd appreciate it.

  • What could be a symbol for egregious?

I have to draw a symbol for this word: egregious.

The definition is something that is extraordinary in some bad way.

The drawing can't have any words in it, but I can't think of anything EASY to draw because I'm artistically challenged. Any ideas? Thanks (:

  • I got bitten by sand fleas...?

I went to the beach on Tuesday afternoon, and long story short, my entire body is covered in bites. My friend told me they were sand fleas, because I didn't go in the water, and I had noticed a bunch of black little things all over my legs when I walked through the sand.

The thing is, my mom got bitten too. She's itching like crazy, but I haven't scratched one of my bites (And I have like a million, not kidding). Mines don't itch one bit, and I don't know if that's normal. Sometimes when I'm walking, the bites on my calves will hurt a little bit, but it's not super uncomfortable or anything...

So is that okay?? And do you guys know how long they'll take to go away?? Thanks :)

-Any remedies, feel free to tell all :P

  • Any good sites for 15s hairstyles?

I have my pictures soon, and I still don't know what to do in my hair. I don't want a bun or any type of hairstyle that picks up all of my hair. I want my hair curly, and half up half down. My hair's pretty long, and I can't find a hairstyle that I like. If you have any sites or pictures, let me know! Thanks :)

  • Algebra 2 question? (About graphing & domains)?

Okay, it has to do with grahping and stating the domain.

    For example: y=√x + 3 (Graph)

I know how to graph it, I just don't know how to write out the domain. I know the domain is 0 , infinity, but I'm confused about the parenthesis:

is it (0,infinity] or [0,infinity), or (0,infinity) ??? My teacher completely confused me. All I know is that the [ ] are used when you don't count the number, and the ( ) is when you don't... Or the other way around... Thanks for the help :)

  • Help solving Algebra 2 questions?

I have to re-take an Algebra 2 test, but I don't understand how to solve a couple of questions that I got wrong. If anyone can explain to me how to solve them, help me out :) Thanks!!!

P.s.- you have to solve and check answers for extraneous roots)

    1. √x - 3 = x - 5

    2. √14x - 5 = x + 2

    3. √2x - 3 = √3x - 2

    4. 3√2x - 3 = 7 (The "3" before the square root is actually an exponent.)

Thanks so much if you can help me out.

  • What stores sell this kind of outfit? (For a 15s)?

I'm looking for a store that sells the white outfits that girls wear for their fifteen pictures at the beach. It's usually like white pants or a white short skirt, with a top that shows the stomach. I don't know where to start looking for that. Any ideas? Thanks :)

  • How did Jennifer Hudson become famous?

I know that she was popular on American Idol, and she didn't win. Then she starred in Dreamgirls. I'm doing a project on her, and I need to construct a model of something that represents how she became famous best. I don't know whether to do a model of the American Idol stage, or something pertaining to Dreamgirls. But if I do Dreamgirls, what could I build??

    Thanks for any tips :)

  • Algebra 2 Word Problem Help?

Okay. Help me here, please. This is gibberish through my eyes.

A pet store receives a shipment of pet foods at the beginning of each month. Over a three month period, the store received 1770 pounds of dog food, 1165 pounds of cat food, and 365 pounds of bird seed. Write and solve a system of equations to find the number of pounds of pet food in each of the three shipments.

    Then there's a chart:

    Dog food- 1st shipment: 60% 2nd shipment: 50% 3rd shipment: 50%

    Cat food- 1st shipment: 25% 2nd shipment: 35% 3rd shipment: 45%

    Bird seed- 1st shipment: 15% 2nd shipment: 15% 3rd shipment: 5%

Thanks so much for any help...

  • Substitution question? (Algebra 2)?

Part of my homework is asking me to check whether the ordered pair is a solution of the system.

    For this example:

    (-3, 5)

    3x-7y= -34

    -5x-2y= 5

I did the work, assuming I did it right... I plugged in the ordered pair numbers where X and Y are in the systems. It's asking if the ordered pair is a solution. Well, the first system did not equal out and the second one did. What does that mean?

    (Meaning, I got this as my answer: - 44 = - 34 and 5 = 5)

  • Help with substitution (Algebra 2)?

Okay, my lovely math teacher didn't finish the lesson. Now I have homework. Yippee. I don't get this. At. All. (By the way, I'm putting an example of each homework problem. You don't have to answer all of them..)

Explain to me what you do?

    (2,1)

    x+2y=4

    3x-y=5

...It says to check whether the ordered pair is a solution of the system. What do you do, plug the numbers in and solve? But how do you know if it's a solution or not?

    Also...:

    Solving by graphing...

    2x+y=9

    -3x+y= -1

How do you "solve by graphing"? What is it that you do?

And how do you solve using the substitution method??

    2x+y= 5

    4x+3y= 7

    Thanks ! :)
