Where is the best place to exchange yuan RMB?
I'm leaving China tomorrow (Zhengzhou Airport connecting in Beijing) for Tokyo (Haneda Airport) and was wondering where I will get the best exchange rate. I can exchange my Yuan for Japanese Yen or US$ but would prefer Yen unless the rates for the US$ are much better.
On my way here I noticed horrible rates at Haneda airport (like buy at 11 and sell at 15 even though the actual rate is near 13). Is there a place where the spread is more like 1-3% instead of 20%?

Do it at Beijing airport if you have the chance. Zhengzhou is too small a city. Tokyo is too expensive a city.
Better still at a bank in Beijing.

Any Bank of China branch if you know someone who will do it for you or your language is good. Your hotel may do it if it caters to international travelers often. The airport will do it but generally gives a poor exchange rate.
Do not use the black market to exchange. Counterfeit currency runs rampant in China.

Airports always have the worst. Why don't you just expense the charges to your company? If not, then exchange just a part...just enough to get you to a banking center in Japan where you should get a better rate.
