who is this guy who may become PM of Australia who describes global warming as "a load of crap"?

There are a handful of right wing Australian politicians who have stated (in the past) that they believe Global Warming ("anthropogenic climate change") is crap. Although they probably wont mention it publicly anymore here in Australia, because it's an election year and a majority of Australians still do believe in global warming, although they have very different opinions on how to deal with it.

The current opposition leader is Tony Abbott (http://www.tonyabbott.com.au/) and he was narrowly voted to leader of the right wing "Liberal party" late last year after a leadership challenge. The challenge came about because a number of members in the party did not want to support their former leader and approve the governments Emissions Trading Scheme legislation. Tony Abbott, along with party members Barnaby Joyce and Nick Minchin pushed hard to prevent any "tax on carbon" scheme and have instead developed their own "direct action plan" on climate change which involved more money for solar power, a debate on nuclear energy and planting more trees (http://www.liberal.org.au/Issues/Environment.aspx)... Currently, the governments bill for an ETS has been defeated twice in the senate, and delayed again now until May for further debate on the issue.

But it was indeed, leader of the opposition Tony Abbott who was originally quoted as saying "Climate Change is crap". But I don't think he will use this quote in the media again after copping quite a lot of flak over it last time, he needs to be seen as taking a moderate stand on the issue regardless of his personal beliefs if he wants to win the Novemeber election.

If a person claims that global climate change is a "load of crap," but does not understand the science behind it and indeed has nothing to say about the science behind it, then that person is an imbecile.

If that person, despite understanding nothing, then goes on to criticize others who DO understand the science, then that person is not merely an imbecile but is also a jackass. One should at least be intelligent enough to understand the limits of one's own intelligence.

The Globalists are simply using "Global Warming " as a tactic to put into effect their agenda .
