S-L-O-W music to accompany a slow computer...can you help?
Oh dear...I've just discovered that I've run out of Broadband credit :S
So it looks like it's back to a lethargic old dial-up system for the weekend.
But then, living life at a slower pace isn't at all bad...especially if there's some appropriate music. What are your favourite slow pieces/movements?

Well, you could of course pick just about any old slow movement from one of Mozart's symphonies or concertos, for they are all without exception beautiful beyond compare. But if you want to listen to a piece that not only is of sublime beauty, as well as dramatic, but also has the power to make grown men cry, or so they say, when they know the story behind it, I would suggest the slow movement from Haydn's 98th symphony. Apparently, and you probably know this already, Haydn wrote this movement just after receiving the news that his beloved friend Mozart had died. And it is written as a homage to Mozart's own great slow movement (perhaps his greatest?) to his last symphony. Listening to this piece you can not but feel Haydn's pain and sadness.

Not most effective does it oftentimes make me suppose the will, however it's seen that feeling used to be right. Not most effective do plenty of folks right here it sounds as if lack studying comprehension, you'll be able to provide them a useful *reality* that's conveniently tested, furnish hyperlinks or references and so they *nonetheless* do not "get it". 'Tis real scary to feel a few of these folks reproduce (or will a few day). This is why I lengthy for the times whilst you had to make use of command traces to entry teh intertubes. A lot of the ones varieties would not be right here - they are no longer sensible ample.

Try some of the slow movements from Mozart's 'Gran Partita.' They are slow enough and hesitant enough to accompany the poor lame machine, but oddly upbeat emotionally, and so fit to comfort you.
But why don't you ask Humphrey? He knows you better than I do - and he can sing.

A favourite of mine of late would be the 2nd movement "Andantino"from Schubert's Sonata No.20
