Importing to imovie from Handycam DCR-SR68?
I just got a Sony Handycam DCR-SR68 for my birthday. I took some footage today, and I've been trying to upload it for a few hours now. it gave me this website:http://guide.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/mac/ms/us/
That says I need a memory stick or something, but my mom said the guy specifically told her that this would upload right to imovie. I have tried just plugging it in and importing, but the mac doesn't support the file types. I also looked for COMPUTER on the USB menu, and it literally wasn't there. Nor was there an icon for me to click on. Does anyone use one of there or have any ideas? I've searched online, but there doesn't seem to be anything.

Sony Handycam may produce files in AVCHD format which cant be supported by every version of iMovie, in order to import videos from Sony Handycam to iMovie successfully, u need to convert to iMovie compatible MPEG-4 (MP4, M4V), MPEG-2, DV, HDV or MOV files, wanna to do it? Luckly, there is one application that can do it prefectly for u, please don't hesitate to try :)
