It's a different purpose. Just like hand cream isn't the same thing as a body lotion or body soap isn't the same as facial soap. Moisturizer is specifically for the face and the pores in the face, which, depending on your skintype, can be either too dry or too oily.

If you think about it, your face is the only part of your body that is never covered and has more exposure than anywhere else, so it gets the most damage from the sun or dirts in the atmosphere.

I don't even use a hand/body lotion, but I definitely couldn't live without moisturizing my face at least twice a day.

Cream tends to be much heavier and should only be used if you have super dry skin. Moisturizer can really be used for anybody.

I use Yes to Tomatoes moisturizer and I love it. It really works for my skin type.

Hope I helped! My question? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkiUI...

You mean face cream? Not cream like the milk product, I hope.

I think face cream is the same thing except has additional claims... but basically they are the same thing... a "cream" sounds more sophisticated and like it's supposed to solve all your worries...

So they are marketed differently but I think they basically do the same thing.
