Yes, it's a good card. It doesn't compare to high-end cards costing 2-3 times as much, but it's just slightly slower than the Radeon 4850 and GTS 250, while adding DirectX 11 and Eyefinity support.
Memory bandwidth isn't everything- it's just one factor of many. When ATI introduced the Radeon 4770 it was also a 128-bit design (based on a physically smaller, more energy efficient 40nm GPU) which used fast GDDR5 memory. The end result? That smaller 128-bit pipeline to fast GDDR5 memory worked just as well as a larger 256-bit pipeline to GDRR3 memory. The Radeon 4770 outperformed 256-bit cards like the GeForce 9800GT and Radeon 4830, matching the 4850's performance in some cases.

The problem with the 5750 is quite simply, price. If you don't care about DX11, the Radeon 4850 is only $95 (what a sale!)

Currently, most Radeon 5750 models sell for $145 on Newgg, with a couple going for $150ish. But the Radeon 5770 prices start at $160!!!! Who wouldn't pay $15 more for a much better card? The 5750 just isn't a good value at that price.
By the way, the 5770 is also 128-bit. Performance is just barely below behind the older Radeon 4870 but the 5770 runs much cooler and draws less power. It only requires a 450W power supply with a single PCI-E power connector (compared to 550W and two connectors for the 4870).
As a result, the 5770 is much more Crossfire-friendly. And 5770's in Crossfire are sweet.

At very high resolutions, you'll see 256-bit cards perform more smoothly than 128-bit models. But if you're gaming at 1650x1080 or below, the newer 5750/5770 cards are better choices overall than the 4850/4870.

128 bit interface is not to be confused with 128MB video graphics. Most cards are 32 or 64 bit interface, 128 means your card can transfer more information at a time. HD of course means it can handle high definition, and yes DDR5 is a big deal. Honestly, I didn't even know they made that, I thought it only went up to 3. Here's why it is a big deal...RAM used to be just regular RAM, right...Then they made Double Data Rate RAM (DDR), which doubled the speed. Then they made DDR2, which is better. Then all of a sudden they made DDR3, which is also better. So DDR5 would of course be better. Most computers these days come with DDR2 or DDR3. The problem with that card having DDR5 is it may not be able to take advantage of that extra power if your RAM is not DDR5 as well.
