If Mitt Romney runs for President in 2012, how will be able to bash Obama's health care plan, when it's so?

similar to the one he got enacted in Massachusetts? Will he just try to avoid the question entirely?

Or will he try to claim that it's ok to do this type of reform on a state level, just not on a federal one.

Has the big brouhaha over health care reform doomed Romney's chances in the GOP primaries or am I underestimating the Republicans capacity for ignoring glaring hypocrisies?

    Simple.

Conservatives are not against government action. They are against the Federal government doing things. So Mitt will hide behind State's Rights. Many Conservatives are confortable with local solutions.

I lived in Mass for a short time, and it's nick-named "Taxachussets" by the residents there.

I am grateful to have left this place as it is severely overpriced and not a very pleasant place to reside unless you are wealthy and live + work in downtown Boston.

Generally I like Mitt , however I would not want to subjected to the Mass system and believe that this would disqualify him from getting my vote in the primary. As the Mass health care system is liberal (the exact opposite of what we need in this country).

Ignoring glaring hypocrisies is what the GOP does best.

All Republicans didn't support Romney in 2008, obviously. Or he would have been in there, not McCain.

If he runs again, he will probably just split the Republicans again and we'll be stuck with another non-best pick again. I hope he does not run.

Source(s): Do you think the health care bill is the only thing about Obama we oppose? lol It has only been a year, he's spent a trillion, he has been more divisive than any president in my lifetime. You people are dreaming if you think Obama gets another term. Ian, it has been "Taxachusetts" for as long as the Kennedys were around, if that tells you anything.

Who cares Mitt is a has been that is Only reduced to wallowing in his own puke to anyone ignorant enough to lend him a ear.

  • Yeah, like the Republicans bashed Abortion laws when they got elected. Nobody is bashing anything once it is passed and the public is using it.

I know. I thought the same thing the other day when I saw him interviewed. He is no longer a contender.

I don't like Romney any more than I liked Bush when they forced him on me in 2000.

I wish John Kasich would run.

I would say that you are certainly right about Republicans capacity for ignoring their own tract record .
