Can I text in Taiwan?
I have an unlimited texting plan for sprint. I am going to be going to Taiwan for spring break and was wondering if I could text. If so, would there be an extra charge?

just recently returned from a business trip to taiwan. Coincidently i used a plan from Sprint that gave me unlimited texting. i contacted customer service and was told that i could text from taiwan for no extra charge.

yeah, you can. Sprint didn't say anything about extra charges for texting, only phone calls (its called international roaming and its 2 bucks a minute)
However, it does say that it costs 20 cents to send texts to an international number, so if i were you, i'd double check with Sprint on how an unlimited texting plan plays into that if you are planning on texting a Taiwan cell number.
