You're like my twin, man. Haha. If you're like me any further, than you'll benefit the most from BJJ and Muay Thai. Although, I am more freestyle. You'll be cutting down to 170. Just make sure you're doing it for the love of Martial Arts. :-)

You would be a middleweight. You could probably cut down to welterweight for fights and possibly even lightweight.
If you love the ground game, then wrestling has proven to be the most dominant base in MMA. If you can find a good submission wrestling school then I would recommend this as you will learn a lot of elements from BJJ at the same time.

It would be very easy for you to cut to 170 for fights. A 10 pound cut wouldn't be all to hard. As far as background....do you mean what should you train? If so BJJ and thai is always a good combo. I love the ground game as well, but you have to have some stand up to go with it.

i would go with catch wrestling or sambo since you like the ground game (if they are available in your area) the reason is they are more rarer forms (even in MMA) and when someone hasn't had experience fighting against your style you have an advantage, everyone knows what BJJ looks like and have a good idea how to defend against it, but you take a art that not alot of people know how to defend against and you gain a huge advantage.
