no as long as it , the glass, is dark (and you do not lose it)
do not try looking at full sun, there are ways to do it by Reflection
Sun , arc lights, welding, lasers are so strong they can damage or "burn out" the delicate visual cells in the eye. Also known as BLIND YOU
