Is there an easier way to create a product detail page?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean... do you already have a website? If so, you should talk to your web designer about what kind of options are available. If you don't have a website yet, make sure you get a few quotes before hiring a web designer.

My husband is a web designer and he usually builds his clients' websites on a "content management system" (CMS) like Joomla or Drupal, which allows the owner of the site to do all kinds of updates and changes to the site content by themselves without knowing any HTML or coding language. If you don't have a site yet, I would recommend having one built on a Joomla content management system. Joomla has tons of different formats and plugins that can be added depending on your specific needs.

If you don't want anything too fancy and you only have a couple products, you could build your own Wordpress site and add a checkout feature. Wordpress is also really easy to manage yourself.
