Buying a laptop from someone, but i have no idea what it does?

It is capable of burning a music cd and playing back movies, but not burning a DVD. I don't think it's worth $100 bucks though. Other posters mentioned $20 and that sounds like a fair price for something so limited. I have used XP on 256mb and it will work, barely, but that was also a desktop with a much faster processor then is typically in even newer laptops.

It's worth maybe $20, tops. It's only got 256MB of RAM, which is unbearably slow. It won't be capable of playing video. It also won't burn DVDs. And considering how old it is, it's likely to keel over any day now.

it's not worth $100 dollars, it's just too old. People are selling that model laptop online for between $20 and $50 dollars. If you bought it you can also expect the expense of adding more RAM (unless they had already done so).

Well it only has 256mb of ram which will be sluggish compared to newer computers. Honestly i wouldn't use it to play game it would be 2 slow.. surfing the net would be fine though

its a very slow and old laptop. its not worth it.

2 it is very old and most likely wont last long.
