You just need to multiply -3 by a - 1, until you've worked your way through all the brackets.

    First step would be -3 * -1, so 3.

    Again, you'd do it: 3 * -1, so -3.

    And finally, -3 * -1, so 3.

Whenever you see a " - " sign, that essentially means multiply by negative one. Even when you see it in simple addition questions like 3 - 2. That's like saying 3 + (-1 * 2).

    - and - equals a positive so you start in the middle with the -3 and multiply by the - (and all the negatives just imagine 1 behind the -)

    so -3 * -1 = + 3

    +3 * -1 = -3

    and then the last parentheses -3 * -1 = +3

hope that is right and makes sense!

The negatives are basically like multiplying by a -1. So, you would have -1(-1(-1(-3))) Since there are an even number or negatives, then they cancel eachother. Your answer would be 3.

    I got 3... here's how:

i multiplied the first two negative signs together, which gave me a positive, then i took that positive and mulitiplied it by the third negative which gave me a negative, and then i took that negative and multiplied it by negative 3 which gave me positive 3.

Work from the inner most parentheses outward.

Each - means "the opposite of" the number.

-3 means the opposite of 3 or negative 3.

-(-3) means the opposite of -3, which is +3.

-(-(-3)) means the opposite of the previous value or -3.

So the entire statement, -(-(-(-3))), means the opposite of the the previous value or +3.

    -3x-1 = 3

    3x-1= -3

    -3x-1=3

3 is your final answers... you are basically just multiplying -3 by -1 three times

    even negatives cancel

    odd is still negative

    so its 3

    -(-(-(-3))) = -(-(3))....since negative*negative is positive

    = 3.........since negative*negative is positive
