Is the USA a Representative Republic?

And what does that mean? Are our representatives supposed to vote for their constituent's wishes? How well is this working?

    it is not by the way things are going...has congress listened to the majority of the nation..? no!

    Our "representatives" do LOTS of representing.

    They REPRESENT the interests of the very wealthy who send LOBBYISTS to D.C on a regular basis.

    It's representative, alright; just not of you and me.

    .....ya ! congress best representing those making cash contributions with legislation rewarding their investments in candidates re-election.......politicians happy to have your vote and thanking you in speechs.....
