Which is the better college: Franklin and Marshall College or Northeastern University?
I'm just curious which one people say is better. I'm already enrolled in college and not looking to transfer so this won't impact any enrollment statuses or anything like that.
Franklin & Marshall is a small, liberal arts school in Lancaster PA with a total enrollment just over 2,000. It's typically regarded as a very tough school to get into but the College Board's site says that they have an acceptance rate of 48%. Graduates typically have a good foundation in all subjects although they're arguably most known for their pre-med program but grads are typically left on their own for grad school since there's nothing on-campus for them. Lancaster is a beautiful place but F&M students often complain that the town is boring and they have to go well outside of the local community to get jobs. School spirit is moderate mostly due to the school's academic reputation. Here's the link to the College Board's page for Franklin & Marshall: http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/Colle...
Northeastern University is a large, research-based university located on the meeting point of the Back Bay, Fenway and Roxbury neighborhoods in Boston MA. It has a total enrollment of slightly over 15,500. Northeastern is known for its co-operative educational experience in which students typically split their last 3 years, spending 6 months each in classes and in an intership-like position but students often feel overwhelmed by the number of opportunities and discouraged when they don't get any call backs with all of those opportunities. Although most students receive co-op positions and typically continue with those same companies after graduation they tend to specialize in their strengths due to undergraduate research and fairly tightly defined coursework. Boston is often regarded as one of the most fun and exciting cities in the country but in many cases it can get too fun. School spirit is moderate due to a mix of up-and-coming sports such as men's hockey and men's basketball, the co-op program and a good reputation academically. F&M is academically more rigorous and you will get a better education with small class sizes rather than watching video monitors in huge lecture halls with 500 students in your class at Northeastern.

those 2 faculties are only approximately thoroughly diverse, so asserting which one is "perfect" is almost impossible. Amherst is an exquisite small college with a historic campus interior the agricultural portion of western Massachusetts. it rather is an rather prestigious college which has been customary for generations by the sons of wealthy society families. they have very extreme point teachers there, and their scholars circulate directly to various the perfect graduate classes interior the international. Northeastern is a huge college interior the middle of the city of Boston. it rather is a good college however the admissions standards are no longer almost as aggressive as Amherst. Northeastern has had a custom of being a street to fulfillment for the youngsters of blue collar families - NE has had cooperative education for some years - working while you're in college to earn portion of your training and get interest journey. you will possibly be able to desire to significant in chemistry at the two of those faculties yet I actual have by no potential heard that the two of them became rather common for chemistry. If those have been your possibilities, then i think of you need to accomplish a little greater examine until eventually now you deliver on your college purposes. you need to have a greater useful sense for what form of school you like and the place you want to spend 4 years of your existence.

Based on the information you states both seem like good schools but if you're looking for alot of networking oppurtunities than Northeastern University sounds better. My currenty highschool has about 3,000 kids enrolled I cant imagine going somewhere with only 2000, however, all in all Northeastern for me personally is better.
