Is there a way to cut and paste answers?

So many times I come across people with the exact same questions. They always ask, I guess without searching first. Much of the time I go into great detail for people, and really don't care to repeat the process. Is there a way to repost a previous answer? If not...there should be. Thanx

    1. First, you'll need to select the text you wish to copy. You do this by putting your mouse cursor at the first character you want to copy and, holding down the left mouse button, drag the cursor to the last character you need copied, and release the left button on your mouse. As you drag, you'll notice everything gets highlighted (selected).

    2. Next, right-click the selected area. Choose Copy from the menu that pops up (or you can use CTRL-C if you like keyboard shortcuts).

    3. Finally, right-click the area where you would like to insert what you have copied. Click Paste from the menu that pops up (For this, CTRL-V is your keyboard shortcut).

That's it. The steps are basically the same for any copy & paste procedure you need to do.

Yes for example, here are your additional details "So many times I come across people with the exact same questions. They always ask, I guess without searching first. Much of the time I go into great detail for people, and really don't care to repeat the process. Is there a way to repost a previous answer? If not...there should be. Thanx" I just highlighted them and right clicked, selected copy, right clicked the answer box and pasted them in here with speech marks round them. Many users like Yahzmin have "standard answers" for certain question's thats asked often.

I create an email, don't fill in the "TO" field, put a subject line, and save it as a draft for questions that are asked frequently. That way it's always there, easy access, and I can add to it, make corrections, updates, etc.

There are people who disapprove of copying our own answers to answer the same question. I would answer the same whether I copy it, or re-type it. Sometimes I'm doing other things, or even at work... I don't always have time to re-type something, plus it makes no sense if I'd be typing the same exact thing I can copy. My goal is simple... to provide a correct answer that helps resolve the problem, which should be everyone's goal. I never copy from anyone else. If it isn't something I already know, I look things up.

Go back to your "My Q&A". Find the answer you gave that you would like to use again, copy and paste to new question. Hope this helps :0)
