Looking for help identifying a blunderbuss.?
A friend of mine has a blunderbuss and said it has been in her family for generations. Although the gun was handed down generation after generation, the information on where it came from and how they obtained was not. I work with a museum but old firearms are not our specialty so I have posted several photos of the blunderbuss here: http://www.wyomingcountyheritage.com/blunderbuss/b...
If you can help identify it, or a give a manufacturer, or time period, anything please help. My email address is on the web page with the photos. Thank you.

I had a couple of gunsmiths in my family and your question caught my eye.
Plus HIstory Channel's Pawn Stars show just had a real blunderbuss on it they had an expert inspect.
Imagine my surprise when I pulled up your photos ...... and saw a pistol.
That's a dragon!
Good news .....it's real, way too much usage for it not to be real.
I would have said REPLICA because the condition is damned good.
Replicas are NOT fakes and some are quite old and quite valuable.
The other eye catcher was the screws.
If its a replica, it is a awesome one and its an old replica.
Does look like its had two, at least one replacement screw ....damned shame.
Dragons like this were usually used on ships.
Let me do some REAL digging and see what I can come up for you.
Drop me a Y/A email.
