My dentist messed up on my tooth, now I have to go to a specialist (endodontist) to have it fixed.?

They told me that my insurance would pay for 100% of it because of this reason, does this sound right?

Update:

He drilled it out initially and did not do a root canal procedure, he used the term "clean out", he went pretty deep, and then did a post and build up, and then two days later it became infected and starting throbbing like mad, and when I went back he said it was way too difficult for him to do, and that I needed to see the endodontist.

I can't speak for your insurance company, but if this is the reason, I would doubt it. Good luck
