Liberals, I want your opinion please.?
I always hear liberals talk about social equality. I get the feeling liberals think everyone should get the same paycheck whether they work 2 hours or 50 hours, whether thev'e earned a college degree or refused to finish high school, whether they work hard, or don't work at all, whether they have years of experience or just entered the workforce. Am I correct in this and if not why do liberals always want the government to take from those who have earned something and give it to those who have done little or nothing to earn something?

*groan*. Not even close.
With wealth comes power, and with power, wealth. When the wealthy have too much power because they have too much wealth, and use their power to grant themselves even more wealth and power you are beginning to see the end of freedom as we know it.

that would be a fine argument, except that the poor are not lazy or intentionally unsuccessful. The rich take away from the poor, the 2 hour workers take away from the 50 hour workers. The poor sometimes work 50, 100 hours a week and still can't make it. The rich work several hours a week, and make it without a worry. The poor work incredibly hard to make it work, and their money is taken from them. What we liberals want is a world where the poor can go to the hospital as often as the rich and not have to cut out food, or rent.
American economics is a football game, where the field is slanted at a 45 degree angle. The poor, at the bottom, have to work much harder just to gain the same amount of yardage that a rich man can sit down and slide effortlessly.

You are incorrect in that Liberals want everyone to earn the same pay check regardless of their work and qualifications. As a matter of fact, the harder the job, the higher the demand for that job should be and thus the higher the pay. To answer your second question, we don't believe that those in poverty are in poverty mostly because of their own fault. We believe that the way that the system came about made it so that someone would always have to be stuck in extreme poverty while others would be endowed with extreme wealth. The creation of social programs is a way to effectively balance this imbalance and making sure that no one goes without basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, health and education (if they want to get anywhere in life; keep in mind many would not be able to afford a private education).

Sorry but you are incorrect. The feeling you get must be from watching fox. Besides, the alternative is having government rob the poor to give to the rich, which is what republicans are famous for. Too bad we can't find a reasonable middle ground. All this bickering is getting very repetitive.

This is incorrect. I want welfare & every other government assistance program to vet out their rolls. People caught defrauding should go to jail. As for giving, if you are truly needy, why not? I don't wish to see another human being be homeless or unable to get medical attention just because they are poor. This is morally reprehensible. Right to life people want everyone born so guess what? We are all responsible for each other, like it or not.

You cannot have liberty and [forced] equality. You must choose one over the other; so long as you let people be free, and trade freely and exchange and associate freely, you will have inequality. That is only natural. Unless, of course, people voluntary choose to share their wealth, but there's nothing wrong with it, then, if they so choose. The problem is forcing people to do it.

This is as ridiculous as anything I have read here.
Your ignorance is overwhelming and your mind as sharp as the leading edge of a bowling ball.
Or maybe you have been playing dumb for so long that you forget that you were playing.
