We were headed to Golden Corral for supper tonight and when we drove by there was a line out the door...?

I've been to both and honestly, for the price difference I think you made the better choice. The food at Golden Corral isn't great; its most impressive aspect is the quantity of food/selection they have. I will say though, golden corral has the most AMAZING bread pudding, and they do have some sugar free deserts, but like I said given the quality and price, I definitely prefer Cici's. appy eating!

If it was a new golden corral then that's probably why it was so crowded. but then again it is usually crowded because many of the people go in groups. I would know cause i just went yesterday in a group. Golden Corral is very good if you want variety.....but CiCi's is good too. For price wise I would go to CiCi's.

The Golden Corral (in Lake Havasu atleast) is a great place to have breakfast/lunch/dinner at. They offer a pretty large selection of food to chose from, and are reasonably priced as well, which can be a bonus for some people. Service is usually up to par, but it is a buffet after all, so there isn't a whole lot of waiting around to do anyways. If you do make your way to Golden Corral someday, I recommend the Bourbon Chicken over white rice (if they offer it).

If you are looking for a balanced meal, there are much better choices at Golden Corral. It will cost more, but you do get what you pay for. It is an all you can eat place and some people love to eat lots of food.

Golden Corral isn't reasonably priced at all.

I eat more rolls than I do anything from the buffet.

Never been to CiCi's so I wouldn't know which is better.

I would have chosen Golden Coral, you would have paid more but then again you get what you pay for...CiCi's pizza tastes like cardboard and I will never eat there again.

People are trying to dine on thin dimes in todays economy.What they don't realize is the recession has affected the food industry also.CiCi's and Golden Corral both source their dog and cat meat from the same place so it makes no difference where you eat.

They have a fabulous price and that is what creates such demand at this place. THe food is good but not 4 star dining. But you are paying such a modest price. I used to go to a similar place in NJ and it was cheap ... and always busy.

It is a compromise we have to face when saving our pennies for other expensies these days.

i dont really like either, but between the 2, i would choose cici's

The new ones have long lines, but they tend to thin out after a few months as people get tired of them and they start cutting costs. They can be good and the lines move fast. Some of them get terrible after a while and soon go out of business.
