what to do on a wet weekend near dartmoor?
I am rather foolishly going camping near Dartmoor, Devon, England next weekend and i am getting a little worried by the general crapness of the weather. Fingers crossed it wont be too bad but if the worst is to happen what activities can people recommend in the dartmoor / north devon area which wont result in my drowning or freezing to death. Thanks for your help

You could visit Exeter a very nice city.
South of Dartmoor near Bovey Tracey on the A38 is Trago Mills a huge discount shopping centre, with activities too.
In Buckfastleigh they have a steam Railway and its a special weekend next week, with visiting locomotives and lots to see.

Dartmoor is beautiful in the summer but pretty bleak when its raining and I am sorry to say apart from the pubs not a lot to do there.

Bring a grill, marinated beef and beer. No matter weather will be good or not you will have good time to have outdoor feast.
