Should I send an evite or mail an invitation for my son's 2nd birthday?

I'm planning my son's 2nd Birthday party, and I was wondering if evite was better, or if I should send an invitation? I think that sending an Evite is definitely easier, but I was wondering if it was tacky. We're planning something casual in our yard, with a bounce house and maybe a pony. I was thinking of doing a cowboy theme. Anyways, any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would go with regular mail, even though evite is easier. My only reason is that people monitor regular mail more closely than email.

Since you're having party, where a certain amount of people and there is actually a list of people you want to invite, then you should send of invites via the mail. Its is more formal and can promote your image of have good class. You can either have them professionally done, or do them at home with your computer. If you choose to do them at home, then I would be sure to buy good quality paper. Make sure that you have an RSVP number so that you can make sure they got the invitation. There is also the people with people not RSVPing and just showing up, which makes it more difficult to determin how much food or drinks to provide. You could also follow up with a phone call, or if you so desire, send out an evite, some people might find it easier replying to an evite RSVP then calling you in person. But first send out actual invitations. Hope it helped, have a nice party.

I would send the invitation in the mail. I don't think the evite is tacky but not as common and not guaranteed to get the results you would like. That actually sounds like a very nice birthday party. You might want to get an invitation that cowboy theme.

You could also do both and see how the response is from the evite but request the RSVP from the mailed invitation.

    Good Luck!

Well he's 2 so I'm sure his circle of friends is mostly family and maybe a neighbor so an evite should be fine. In the future I would make sure to send an actual invitation. Follow up with a phone call because people don't check their email all like that.

Send an invitation the old fashioned way , its more apt and you will know where you stand , people may not check their email to see the evite , well thats what i would do anyways.

There is nothing casual about a bouncer and a real pony! If you are spending that much

money on party it is best to send invatations thru the mail with a rsvp on the invitation.

You need to know how many cupcakes to supply!
