My Car idles rough... and takes 4-5 seconds to turn over...?
I have a 2002 C230 Mercedes Benz, Kompressor Coupe. It has 159000 miles... I noticed for a long time that my car idle a little low. Over time.. my car turned over slower and slower.. it usually takes 305 seconds to turn over now, and presently idles rough. The check engine light just turned on.. and a little concerned ?? Any help ??

Get the code retrieved from your OBD (what sets check engine light - this is done for free at some auto parts stores). - its better to do that first rather than guessing as to what may be wrong. Getting the code would help pinpoint where the problem is occuring, as your onboard diagnostics (OBD as stated previously) has detected a fault somewhere. Its most likely one of the sensors that control fuel/air mixture, misfiring cylinder(s), or inadequate fuel delivery that is causing your problem.

The starter might be getting weaker and weaker, thus the slow turning over. I dont know much about Mercedes, so yeah

Get the code read for the check engine light(it will give you some idea). Get it tuned up.
