Contractions 5-6 minutes apart for 2 hours...but bearable! what do I do!?
I am 38 weeks with my 3rd baby and this is the first time I am not sure if I should go to L&D or wait. With my first I went in because I was in SO much pain, with my second I had a placental abruption and was bleeding VERY bad...so I went in. Well I am having contractions 5-7 minutes apart but they are not unbearable. UNCOMFORTABLE but okay. I have a Dr. appt. in 4.5 hours and I don't know if I should just wait or not....what would you do? THANKS LADIES!!! :)
uh Chrys maybe you should read my damn question!!! All my pregnancies and labors have been different so unless you have something useful for me get off! loser

I'd go now, or at least get ready to hop in the car. 3rd baby for you and they usually come quicker and quicker...

I hate timing them.>Very unreliable. Where are you emotionally? The emotional sign posts are as follows.. 1..Early labor, not time to go in..You are happy that it has finally started you call everyone and let them know, and you feel pretty good.. 2. Active..this is where the work starts. You tend to want to be in a quiet place, maybe dark, you actually have to work through the contractions..You want things just right, the way you want them..You may snap a bit at someone, but it's just because youre working harder than before..That would be a good time to go in.. 3. Transition..This is the "I cant do this anymore" phase..Hopefully, you are already at the hospital..But, you are almost done..You feel completely drained, and just want to stop it all and start over tomorrow when youve had some rest..It's almost done..Then, whammo..Pushing.. Good luck

If u can hold out until your doctors appt then wait, but if not then go to l&d, i waited until my contractions were coming every 2-3 mins before i went to the hospital, which meant by the time i got there i was fully dilated & ready to push!! Good Luck

ok pains are still very irregular so id wait a bit if you can
see your doctor later
but if pains are coming very 5 Min's and lasting 45sec/1min its time to go in
make sure you have everything ready don't be all of a bustle put everything in your car and bring them with you to your visit to your doctors
you are not in astablished labor just yet
if you go in now you will be there all day so if you can wait its better for you
but saying that if you want an epadural you might want to go in earlier
best of luck to you

Call your doc and let them know whats going on. See what they have to say. They may have you just wait it out. Good luck and congrads!
