Total cost = Sum of [(Number of units produced)*(Unit Price)]

    Or,

    Total cost = 4*R5 + 3*R7 + 2*R6 + 5*R3

The stuff on the right side of the equation is the result of a dot product, so your matrices will be

    [4, 3, 2, 5] · [R5, R7, R6, R3]

In traditional matrix form, the "R" matrix will have one column. (Because to multiply matrices you need to have the same number of rows in one matrix as the number of columns in the other)

    [R5 [4, 3, 2, 5]

    R7

    R6

    R3]
