Is new little goldfish biting off bigger goldfish's tail a problem?

This little black goldfish I got as a friend for my big old goldfish keeps nipping at her tail. I think she's shredding it to bits. Is this gonna be a problem? Will her tail heal?

it sounds like you have found one of the very rare miniture black piranha goldfish..i think that the best way to take care of your problem is to get a small double sided file and file the t down a bit. dont worry, it doesn't hurt the fish.eeth

I have had my goldfish do this to each other on occasion when I first put them together. Goldfish are usually very docile, but were probably just trying to make an order of command (many fish do this). Their tails have definitely healed and look great!

Alice is on the suited song yet once you determine to devide the tank placed funds right into a tank divider from a puppy/fish keep, they are not very costly and that they permit water pass via them so which you do no longer ought to have a seperate clear out for each area of the divider.. attempting to apply kin individuals products would introduce pollutants into your aquarium. You on no account reported how great your aquarium is. whether this is below approximately 20 gal. this is too small for 2 goldfish and this stands out as the reason of the aggression on the portion of the extra beneficial fish. the terrific answer could be a miles better aquarium with rather some hide for the smaller fish to hide in.
