Pro-Israelis: What is your peaceful solution to the conflict?

I can see that almost all of you are against a two state solution with returning all the land Israel is currently illegally occupying and you are simply against "land for peace". But still you are against a one state solution in which both Palestinians and Israelis live in the same country..

So What is your peaceful solution to the conflict?

Please note: kicking the Palestinians out of the west bank, east Jerusalem and Gaza into neighboring countries doesn't count as "peaceful" because that's ethnic cleansing.

    Follow International Law and conventions.

@Lahkota, so remind me WHO pulled out of Taba (the talks that had the greatest prospect of a lasting peace) and the Road Map? Who is in violation of the Oslo accord? Who is in violation of UN Security Council Resolutions and International Law in regards to Israeli settlement? Camp David II was a sham, nothing official was put on the table, a map was proposed, but with the stipulation that it "wasn't final". Palestinians agreed to almost all concessions, while Israel made NOT ONE- if I steal $100 from you and give you back $93 it is YOU making a concession, NOT ME.

@curious1 you're claim is facetious. I have never advocated the destruction of Israel, neither have many other serious pro-Palestinians (which also means pro-UN and pro-European and pro-Russian, and pro- pretty much every other country on earth, since they all support the view that settlements are contrary to International Law)

The religious divide makes it impossible for both religions to live peacefully in one state. The Jewish Israelis will not give up the notion of Israel being a Jewish nation. The Palestinians, do not want to be governed by another country, especially one that is insisting that it be recognized as a Jewish country. Israel is getting tired of governing the population they took over in 1967. I think both sides want a 2 state solution. Additionally, Israel does not want to absorb the Palestinians as full Israeli citizens. If they did this, the Jewish majority in Israel would be jeopardized. Currently, Israel is about 75% Jewish and 25% Muslim. If all the Palestinians were absorbed, then the balance would be almost 50/50. Since Israel is a democracy, the new balance of Muslims would change the parliamentary breakup of the State of Israel and would likely end Israel's existence as a "Jewish" state. You must understand why the Israelis insist they have a Jewish State. Following the Holocaust and the centuries of abuse against Jews, the Israeli Jews will not accept living in a country administered by anyone except their own Jewish population. Israel is the only country in the world wholly administer by Jews. The Israelis will NOT accept a change in this situation. I can promise this to you. Whether you personally think this is wrong of them or not, this is the reality. And given this reality, the most practical solution, again, is a 2 state solution, one Jewish one Arab living side by side in peace.

I am not Pro-Israeli, but I have some ideas. I think a three state solution is the best.

Jerusalem and the West Bank should become the International State of Jerusalem and be governed by a cooperating group of Jews, Palestinians, and U.N. members. Citizenship would be based on agreement and compliance with laws, especially human rights laws. Violators may be expelled after fair trial. Violence and discrimination against other citizens will not be tolerated. Jewish and Arab citizens will have an equal share in the government. Nothing currently existing which is important to either side is destroyed. This is based on my belief that this particular area is so religiously and historically significant to both sides that neither should have sole control over it.

Gaza Strip becomes fully controlled by Palestinians. The Gaza Strip is recognized as a nation.

All other areas of Israel stay as is. Israelis are not allowed to claim any other areas.

Lol do you understand they israeli's view of peace is to kill all the palestinians and take all of there land. That way there will be no conflict with the opponent. If they actually wanted peace they can negotiate without giving up much at all. my personal proposal would be knock down all the borders. Send off all Hamas fighters and Israeli army to another country and have another country run the security and police the country for 10 years. I dont think Israeli police or army should be securing palestinians do to the fact that they are bias. Lets Australia and China send there troops and police the whole country till it settles down. Israel should give up there air force and military presence.

If arabs and jews can live together in almost every other country, USA, Brazil, Russia, Australia they can do so in the middle east. They just need a non bias security policing and penalizing the people that do harm.

I am heartened to see that at least people in this forum seem to want a solution ....my question to you all is assuming that a two state solution is feasible will Israel ...it's citizens & government ...allow Palestine to have viable ,sustainable economic freedom as well as total Independence free of IDF military oversight ?

At the moment the daily struggles are choking the lifeblood of Palestinians who at best are merely existing ...

I support a two state solution with the border between Israel and Palestine to be roughly along the Green Line or Armistice lines of 1949-50. There would have to be minor border adjustments such as the small Jewish Quarter of the Old City and the Latrun Salient, which overlaps the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway, going to Israel and tunnel rights through Israel for the Palestinians to connect the West Bank and Gaza. This plan would come into effect only after all terrorist activity stops.

Arab people living in Israel would have the option of staying in Israel or moving to Palestine and the settlers in the West Bank would have the option of becoming citizens of Palestine or moving to Israel. Jewish refugees have been settled in Israel and the descendents of Palestinian refugees must be settled in Palestine.

Which conflict? The one where every Muslim jumps up and yells death to the occupier.

Or perhaps the conflict between Hamas and Fatah. With more than 1400 refugees killed by other refugees. With thousands locked up in each others jails.

Even if they could reconcile if they tried to make peace with Israel all of Islam would disown them. Yet will not establish relations on their own accord.

There is no peaceful solution. If the refugees ever get on the same page it will be to attack Israel.

That will end the problem for Israel and what's left of the refugees. Israel is more than capable of bring hellfire without any help from anyone.

Shame on the Muslims for their bloody hearts and religion.

You know what their solution is? 3an jad, is to slowly kill us until theres none of us left. I dont think they understand how many palestinians are living outside of Palestine.

  • 1 decade ago

Almost all of us ??? like have you interviewed every israeli and jew on here that you can know this ???

ahh.... nothing like a sweeping statement though to make a underhand snipe at israel...

if you asked many israelis - in and out of israel - most of us are FOR a two state solution... with the exception of some very very extreme fringe religious groups - most israelis and jews want to share israel with palastinians... i dont know anyone that is smiling with joy at the thought of kicking out the palastinians .. thats not what we want at all...

i wish people would get in in their heads that what is going on in israel is NOT about ethnic cleansing on israels part ... we dont have an issue with the color of peoples skin, and the palastinians had no issue with a jewish presence in israel until we decided to form our own state...

THEN it became an issue of jews in the middle east ...

i personally am happy for a two state solution, for palastinian independance, for their own borders, army , whatever ... but theyve so far rejected every single peace deal offered them, why - because THEY DONT WANT TO SHARE ISRAEL WITH JEWS...

Please remember that there are two sides in this conflict and that palastinians also have a responsibility for making peace -they are NOT innocent helpless victims ...

oh - and for the record - if you truely care about peace in that region then stop making sweeping statements - because all that does is create more bias and hatred and mis underrstanding ...

This is their ultimate plan for the Mid East (The Promised Land) it details everything they want from the region, and it is written and translated by them, ithttp://www.informationclearinghouse.info/pdf/The%2...

They never had peace in mind, that is why they moved 500,000 Israeli's into illegal settlments.
