    It looks like a Holly Hock. Here is a picture of a holly hock.

    It's a Hollyhock (Alcea). A great perennial that is very cold hardy - will survive in most climates.

    hollyhock, a cousin of hibiscus, malva, etc... all in the Mallow family.....cousins to Althea*rose of sharon, too....
