How can I sell my old textbooks online?

My dad has a lot of college textbooks from the 80s but I tried a website and it said it was too old to sell. Where else can I sell my old textbooks?

A lot of times if you try http://www.chegg.com/ and click Sell Textbooks at the top. Enter the ISBN number. If it says you can sell/donate the book you should be able to use CC125236 and get at least 5 dollars out of each book. Free shipping. But they do have to not have any of the following:

    - Broken spine or binding

    - Missing, torn or loose pages

    - Excessive writing, marking, or highlighting

    - Stains or water damage

    - Burns or rips

    - Any other significant damage

Try other places online. For buying and selling of textbooks I use http://www.bigwords.com/ They are a textbook search engine that searches all the online textbook retailers (including amazon, half, ebay etc) and rental sites (including chegg, bookrenter etc) to find you the best prices. You can use them to search for resellers to sell your book to. All the search results are organized by price so you can buy your books for the lowest prices and sell them back for the highest.

books that old are not used in college anymore - they are pretty much worthless - college textbooks lose their value as soon as a new edition comes out and Teachers may change the titles they use entirely for the same courses every few years - unless you sell books back to the bookstore at the end of the semester that you used them, you will probably never be able to get rid of them and even then might be discontinued from future use already - especially at the end of Spring semester

I've also used http://www.bigwords.com/ to sell my books. And it was quite successful. I remember it being effortless, easy to navigate, and was able to get me some pretty good money for any of my books. There are so many options out there but with bigwords.com it enables searching through all the online textbook resellers. So trust me, it'll be your best option. Good luck!!

I might think of trying some of the local stores around town -- do you know of any shops that sell second-hand textbooks near where you are? If so, you might think if it's possible to see what happens there.
