Is there some thing available to do jigsaw puzzles on?
I was surprised to see how many people still do jigsaw puzzles. Is there anything made as portable to work on my puzzle and can move from my table to store until next time. I currently cover it with a table cloth but the pieces show through and things stand crooked on the dining room table.

I bought one of just what you are looking for. It is a portable table that sets on your table. It has legs to give an angle so you can sit and comfortably work on your puzzle. The surface has a special coating that prevents the pieces from sliding down while the table is on the angle. They also have a laptop model that you can use in bed, a chair or on the table. I believe they do personalize puzzles and have a stock of unique one of a kind jigsaw puzzles.

There are a few options if you were to go to one of those puzzle stores.
The first option is a "Puzzle Roll" which is pretty much a large piece of felt and a cardboard tube. You pretty much build the puzzle on the felt, and then you roll it all up when you put it away, and the texture of the fabric and a tight roll will keep it in place.
There are also large sealable puzzle boards that you can find as well, that can work as portable puzzle surfaces.
You can always just find a decent section of cardboard or plywood to make a surface to puzzle on, which can be moved and set elsewhere when necessary.
Seriously, find one of those game and puzzle stores in the mall, see what their options are. They're usually expensive, so see what their options are and then make something similar for yourself at home on the cheap.

My parents got my a jigsaw board for xmas. Almost like a flat suitcase that zip all round and has board that can be removed. The whole inside is like felt so even if you have a jigsaw on a slant or upright the pieces don't move so when you're finished you can zip up the suitcase and have it standing upright somewhere out of the way or could put it under your table.
I got mine from hobbycraft

I use a large framed cork board. The frame keeps the pieces on it and the cork keeps them from slipping. When I'm not using it, it will slide under my bed until next time.
