Need ideas... examples of modern-day quests?

I just have to write a paragraph for English, and I'm not in any way trying to make you guys do my homework... I just need some ideas for what to write about. We have to write about a modern-day "quest" that compares to the quest for the Holy Grail (in King Arthur). So.. ideas?

How about the quest for equality And equal rights?

"Two thousand years ago the preast sent the law to beat up a teacher, named Jesus, and leave him hanging from a peace of lumber at the side of the road, dieing of exposher, for teaching love and tolerance, and as a worning to the people.

Two thousand years later a student named Shepard was beaten, and left hanging from a peace of lumber, at the side of the road, dieing of exposher, becouse he was gay, and as a worning to others. The law alowed his killers to "plea-bargen", and the revren picketed his funral. What lesson have we lurned in two thousand years, love and tolarence, or the lesson left hanging beside of the road?" - Penny French
