Why do we get hangnails?
Is it a vitamin missing from your diet? or something like that? i have been getting horrible hangnails! what can i do i fix them? or prevent them from coming? right now i have on so bad that the bottom of my finger is swollen from the infection.? any tips to help? thanks guys!
they aren't hangnails like on the side. it is at the very bottom of the nail, where the nail bed is. so i guess it is the cuticles.

They are caused y Improperly cutting your nails. Go to a manicurist and have them show you how to properly take care of your nails.

In addition to not properly cutting your nails, an overgrowth in your nails from not cutting them AT ALL will make them more susceptible to being broken by hitting things. This will break part of your nail off if the impact is serious.
