Because they do represent both sides of the issue. You are just too blind and deaf to pay attention and only hear what you want. Now you know what Hannity's view point is, so why do you judge and entire network for one guy. Hannity is a commentator, not a news man.

Listen at other times and see the difference.

I saw them say recently fair, balanced and with true journalism. I know for a fact this is utter nonsense because at least twice in recent months they've reported the exact opposite of what a climate scientist said about global warming just to support the republican cause. I assume they're always doing the same thing with other information. I consider fox news to basically be the lifeline of the conservative movement. They require deception, selective information reporting, and shouting over people who disagree in order to brainwash listeners into a way of thinking. Despicable trash.

The NEWS section of FOX has the motto "Fair and Balanced", not the individual shows. Just like the other news networks that have shows with Olberman, Maddow and Colbert.

A majority of the people see foxnews as fair and balanced and its a great slogan for a cablenews channel, so I wouldnt change it anytime soon if I was them.

The relevance of that will depend on whether you "caught" something as you were channel surfing, or stopped to actually listen and decide for yourself if it was fair and balanced. It's more thorough and balanced than any other cable network news you could find out there.
