Is it true that someone's life can be saved by forwarding an e-mail?

I generally receive a lot mail asking me to forward it so that it can save someone's life by getting 5 cents per mail forward. Is there any truth in this. or is this just Junk.??

99% of Chain letters are scams or jokes. Basically they just are a way for spammers to find emails addresses etc. In the end, they just plug up inbox and sent items. I tell everyone I know to stop FWD emails even if they are cute and fun. I wish everyone would do the same.

It's a scam, where is the money coming from, did you have to send it. The spammers harvest those forwards so they can turn around and spam us. It's just hocus pocus, Something to tug at your heart, it's been going around for many years. Just mark it spam and forget about it. Many times those forwards carry a virus from someone else's computer and when you open it, you get it.

It is impossible to keep count of forwarded email by anyone. It is just a chain letter and should be ignored.

If it is very emotional, heart warming and not letting someone commit suicide, then yes, it is.
