Are Republicans right when they say government does't work?

The government worked very well for Republicans who invaded Iraq to get oil, who allowed banks to lend without restrictions , allowed corporations to dump toxic waste into our rivers and streams for decades, who allow Nuclear plants to be built without any care about what to do with the toxic waste building up, etc.

Now that people are getting sick, or injured (yes including our soldiers) they turn a blind eye toward any public responsibility to care for them, or for children getting lukemia, or brain cancers, etc.

Republicans only care about money, and only want the government to allow them to make more of it.

No Republican I know of has ever said that. Not in the words you are using. Your wording implies they want anarchy. Real Conservatives believe our Government isn't working because Constitutional principles are not being applied.

For once in the history of the USA I'd like to see the Constitution applied in a fashion the was intended by our Founders.

The elitist despots from Both Parties ruining things in Washington DC must be removed from office and replace by honest citizens.

Professional Politicians are a POX on human freedom and so are the despotic Union leaders who want Socialism applied to the lives of all Americans.

Union Bosses have a history of robbing retirement funds. They ae crooks. They are tyrants.

If you place your faith in unions rather than in honest American citizens you are falling into the same trap as those who place too much faith in the Despots in Washington regardless of Party Affiliation.

Power Corrupts and Big Business is too Powerful.

Big Unions are Too Powerful.

Big Government is even More Powerful.

They are all corrupt and that is exactly WHY our Founding Fathers placed the Power into the hands of the People.

They spread the power as evenly as possible to prevent Tyranny!

Work place safety starts and ends in the work place, maybe the unions need to be investigated to see why they aren't practicing safety 24/7 regardless of politics or any other outside influence.

Apparently unions can't function without government up their tails constantly, when government isn't helping they run their companies into the ground, then look to the people to bail them out.

The post office isn't republican or democrat.. its just managed by general nitwits with no competence. Get past the very boring, very tired partisan BS and understand.. THE GOV'T IS NOT EFFICIENT. That's not a moral dilemma or up for debate. Everything the gov't does runs at a loss, is overpaid for, and is mired in red tape.

bush was an idiot... he was not the best president... but he was not the worst either... he did not pass a bill that (other than the patriot act) reduced freedoms more then they have already... neither did he however give us our freedoms back... he let workers guard themselves and let managers do the rights and responsible things... (just because they did not does not make him wrong to let us all do the right and responsible thing

How can Government work with CONS in power? They believe in "small Government" which is really a nice way of saying "Lazy, do nothing, sit on our a*s so crooks on wall street can cause economic collapse Government".

CONS only want Government around to stop gays from getting married and blow people up in other countries.

They must be talking about their own representatives, who literally have done NO WORK for the past year and a half....but they still get paid, and they still get to have their congressional socialized health care plans paid for by US..
