Question about mixing meds and about vikadin?

Hey i was wondering if there are medicines that Vikadin simply doesn't mix well with causing adverse reactions such as intense naseau and throwing up etc. Also can Vikadin cause that by itself? By that i mean make you tired, confine you to your bed and make you throw up esppecially if it's your first time using itt?

did you take vicodin on an empty stomach? That will make you pretty sick, and don't mix Vicodin with other pain killers or anti anxiety meds. here issome info on Vicodin

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Vicodin:

Blurred vision; constipation; difficulty breathing; dizziness; drowsiness; flushing; lightheadedness; mental/mood changes; nausea; vomiting.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Vicodin:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); anxiety; change in the amount of urine; change or loss in hearing; fear; interrupted breathing; mental or mood changes; unusual tiredness.

What should I avoid while taking Vicodin?

Vicodin can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert.

Do not use any other cold, allergy, pain, or sleep medication without first asking your doctor or pharmacist. Acetaminophen (sometimes abbreviated as "APAP") is contained in many combination medicines. If you use certain products together you may accidentally use too much acetaminophen. Read the label of any other medicine you are using to see if it contains acetaminophen or APAP.

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Vicodin. Alcohol may increase your risk of liver damage while taking acetaminophen. Cold or allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, antidepressants, or seizure medication can add to sleepiness caused by hydrocodone, or could slow your breathing. Tell your doctor if you need to use any of these other medicines while you are taking Vicodin.

Naloxone and Naltrexone both block the hydrocodone in vicodin, but they don't cause intense nausea and throwing up unless you've developed a dependency or addiction to the drug. Some other drugs contain those two like talwin and subutex. Buprenorphine can produce the same effect but with less effectiveness.

You may have an allergy to the hydrocodone and that can cause vomiting in some cases.

No offense, but STUPID STUPID GIRL! Have you not noticed how many people drop dead not just from overdose, but a synergistic reaction to over the counter and prescription drugs! Your mom would rather have a daughter who was alive than to live with the guilt of giving her her final "dose" without even knowing. You are very selfish not to tell her. Hmmm....lets see, mad mom or death....which do I choose? Here is a good idea, take it all, and then tell your mom. they will give you NARCAN and get everything out of your system right before they restrain you and shove tubes up your nose, and push them all the way down into your abdomen. They will pump charcoal through that until you puke. No one can be in the room with you, except the nurses and docs. Could you be more responsible, please! Bless ya

Maybe you are allergic to Vicodin. Or something in it. You should contact your doc. It does upset stomache and make drowsy. But not that bad.
