They do sometimes. If they aren't used to being handled they may be scared and nip at you. Mine did at first but now they are used to me and let me handle them. My Mommy mouse bit me pretty hard but that was because her babies were there. Mice are wonderful smart, active animals and would recommend them as pets. Heck my cats bite more than my mice!

I have owned 4 mice in the past (not all at the same time). The first mouse I had, I was about 10 years old and I was very rough with her, but she never bit me and she was always very gentle no matter how rough I was. The second two mice I got a few years later, got in a pair. One of them never bit me, except to nibble on my hand a bit when I left it motionless in the cage. The other one bit a little when she was unfamiliar with me, but over time she became very very tame and friendly. The last mouse I had never ever bit me. So to my experience, it really depends on the personality of the mouse. The only mouse I had that bit me was actually my favourite one, because she was feisty and had a strong personality. After she was tame she didn't bite and she would let me nuzzle her under the ears and cuddle her. The rest were always very gentle and never bit. So unless you mistreat your mice very badly (in which case they will learn to always bite you in self defense), I would say the vast majority of mice are very gentle and do not bite, at least not with the intention of hurting you.

Yes, mice do occasionally bite people and their pets. However, the occurrence is quite rare, accounting for just over 1 percent of all reported bites when grouped with other rodents. Typically, these bites have no adverse effects when properly cleaned. However if you notice symptoms or infection in the area of the bite, you should seek medical treatment.
Ive heard you can get rabies so if you do get bitten, its best to check it out and maybe have a rabies shot. Hope this helps :) - (don't let this put you off getting a mouse)

Well, all animals have the opportunity to bite. Some mice are kind and gentle but others can have the urge to bite. I had two mice once (but one of them got eaten by the other one and then that one died because he became so fat and sick. ) and we did not know if they would bite. Honestly there is no way to tell, you SHOULD NOT WEAR ANY PROTECTION ON YOUR HANDS! This will make them want to bite! WASH YOUR HANDS OFF BEFORE YOU TRY TO PICK THEM UP so any smells that they might like will be of.; this will make them less prone to biting. Just try and pick them up carefully and see what happens! Best of luck!

Mice aren't known for being very aggressive if handled since young. But naturally some do because they are not used to humans. Get a young mice and treat it well. Don't chase it around the cage, and don't put your hand over it, but under, when lifting it. Mice and rats are wonderful pets and a lot of fun.

I used to have 2 mice. One brown one and an albino. The brown one didn't ever bite, it was a sweet heart and the albino didn't at first but as he got older he became really territorial and would bite when I tried to pick him up with my bare hand. The older he got the more mean/aggressive he got. It did hurt too...he drew blood every time. It could depend on the particular one you get too, I'm not sure. Hope that helped some.
