My dog got sick one me very bloated, vet said to put her on Gerber's baby food, need some recipes to give her ?

ok so i got a soon to be 5yr old pitbull, two weeks ago she got really sick on me, got very bloated, wouldn't eat dog food at all, so i called my vet they told me to feed her Gerber's baby food chicken flavored, so i did that, but she lost a lot of weight, someone else told me to feed her chicken with rice made in water, ok am feeding her that, i tried putting her back on her dog food little bit at a time, but she throws up every time i try to feed her dog food, so now she is just on chicken and rice made in water, but i have to feed her little by little, cause if i give her a normal amount at once she gets bloated, so was wondering what else i can cook for her, to make her gain her weight back, somethings that's high in protein, and has fat on it, on the chicken, i take off the skin cause skin is the bad part, and with her throwing up, i don't want to give it to her and risk her vomiting all her food out, i already talk to the vet, she said to put her on a different diet, no dog food at all, so now i need some good recipes, that i can make for her, she loves the chicken and rice, but need something that will give her her weight back, chicken and rice isn't gonna do it

It just takes time. My dog got sick once and they told me to put her on the chicken and rice meals and that did help her to get better. I think you should just stick to giving her the chicken and rice, but try giving her the chicken breast because that is the best part to give to a dog (less unwanted fat). If you want to try, you can probably mix in some fruits and veggies such as apples, bananas, carrots, peas, brocoli, etc. But if you see that something makes your dog get bloated then don't try it anymore. I hope this helps and I hope she gets well soon.

I used to make some things it will not taste as good as gerber but it will be baby food.Just make food like soup and put it in the blender. For fruits just put them in a blender and do not forget if the baby does not finish it all it will not last too long after about 2 days it will not be any good.

I Googled "home meals for dogs" and a lot I got a lot of hits for sites geared toward feeding your dog meals that you prepare yourself. This was one that I found. Check it out.
