Someone wanna explain prom in detail?
'Cause I'm not really sure what I'm getting myself into. I'm a sophomore going with my boyfriend (a junior) and I basically don't know what's expected. Like afterprom? Ah I'm kinda nervous too :) He's my first bf and we haven't really talked about it yet. Pictures and dinner? How late to get there? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. And previous prom experiences that you're willing to share :)

Itsss not your wedding day so relax, in some cities the norm for prom is either short or long dresses, so find out which people in your town wear & go from there.before prom probably take pictures w.a group of friends & all of the parents will be there taking pictures of all of you.arrive at prom probably 30-45 minutes after it begins.after prom probably just go to someone's house whose hosting an after party & people getting drunk & doing drugs.
If you're worried about something sexual happening you DO NOT have to do anything you don't want to so no worries ( :

prom is really no big deal, try your best in what you wear, be careful not to make yourself overdressed! and after prom all depends pn what the two of you want to do. going to parties (there are always parties!!!) or having some romantic time in a quite place.
pictures! yeah take a lot of pictures..your probably burn them when you break up with the guy though (kidding) !
take it easy, girls sometimes ruin prom night by worring about it too much and being real uptight...trust me, just go with the flow and it would be a night to remember :)

Well i went to prom twice , the one prom i took a freshman when i was a junior. He was my friend, so i decided to take him. We danced and had food. it was fun. But my feelings got hurt at the end , cause he didn't want to talk to me after that, for some reason, it sucked ***..:/
The next prom i went to , i was a Senior. I didnt go with anyone, i just chilled with my friends and danced. It was better going without a guy, and you don't feel pressured, or get your feelings hurt.
Anyways it was very fun, the best dance i had. It was weird at my prom, they had porta potties to go in , cause it was outside, and the bathrooms were facing people, so if you didnt lock it right , it could open and people could see you naked ..lol haha
One dance before, somebody elbowed me in the face while i was dancing, also a girl with a heel stepped on my toe , and severed my toe and it was numb and bleeding. it was crazzy lol
Basically prom is dancing , having food, chilling with friends, etc. Sometimes feelings get hurt and sometimes not. Be careful who you dance next to , cause some people are rowdy.
