Atheists what proof would satisfy you - proof of God, that is?

I want SSN and driver's license

A re-inactment of Moses and the burning bush with the real Moses, this time I want to see God in the Bush.

I want to see the Red Sea parted

I want to see my Mom again

Update:

This is tongue in cheek for those who don't realize it.

If god came out of the closet and manifested himself as undeniably real he would be immediately grabbed by science. His nature and actions would then become the subject of scientific scrutiny. I guarantee that the world's religions would react to this kidnapping of their super-hero by inventing another imaginary supernatural being that scientists could not get their pokey little fingers onto.

I am sorry to break this to you but you will never find the proof you are looking for.

According to Pastor Matt Trewhella of West Allis, Wisconsin, God has no SSN!

The Good Pastor believes SOCIAL SECURITY is nothing more than sinful Idolatry and Slavery, as demonstrated in these points:

    1. Social Security is a violation of the 1st Commandment.

    2. Social Security is a violation of the 10th Commandment.

    3. Social Security violates God’s work ethic.

If you don't believe it, just read on!

God says in Exodus chapter 20, verse 17, "You shall not covet your neighbors’ house, you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ***, nor any thing that is your neighbors." In this commandment, God forbids every sinful desire to get our neighbors’ possessions openly or by trickery. Hence, He requires us to be content with what He has given us. Dorcas Hardy, who was the Commissioner of Social Security from 1986 to 1989, in her book Social Insecurity, makes it clear that Social Security is not insurance, nor is it a pension. She states that Social Security is "a transfer of wealth from young to old." Social Security is the State taking money from one group of people and giving it to another group of people. It is old people coveting young people’s money through the coercive arm of the State. The covetous nature is seen in old people by how vociferously they respond to any legislation which might touch Social Security (Colossians 3:5). They have an attitude of "I’ve paid all these years, so I want mine." Therefore, Social Security is a violation of the 10th commandment because it is based on covetousness and it breeds covetousness.

There are loopholes in all of them.

    First: Too easy to bypass

Second: Re-enactment means like a play or movie mostly based off of the event

    Third: Dams.

Fourth: Open the jar of ashes, or look through it if it's transparent

I'm not even asking for proof, just evidence.

Several of my friends were murdered by Islam. Any God who would bring them back would be worth listening to.

I am not promising to believe, but I do promise to listen.

You'd think raising the dead would be simple for a God.

    You know whats funny.

Atheists can accept God if there was substantial proof, however, Religious people can't accept that there is no God, regardless of the amount of proof that is shown to them, why?

Because it is a flawed belief, and a flawed, WRONG, concept.

If there were ANY proof, I'd believe it.

But to me, the Bible is merely a collection of ancient folklore that a conman began selling as nonfiction. And the idiots bought the book, and today it is famous.

it would have to be based on the scientic method. But then again you can't prove a negitive, such as the easter bunny, santa clause, the tooth fairy etc

The human definition of god is hardly a consensus.

A HUGE man in the sky with a grey beard and moustache saying I am God, Follow me. All flying planes fly into my mouth where I can show you the way of God.

  • When you already have the presupposition that God does not exist, and therefore, every unusual phenomenon must be explained with the view that God does not exist, no proof will suffice.
