Why do Messianics still call themselves Jews?
When every single Jewish, and non-Jewish authority says that aren't? The Torah says they are not Jewish. The Talmud says they are not. You name it, and they agree they are not Jewish. The only people who say they are Jewish is themselves. So why do they say they Jewish, when they are not?
"Lone Ranger"- Listen up, even if they were born Jewish, or converted, now that they believe in Yeshu they are not Jewish. Simple as that!
I read through the B.C.(Brit Chadasha in Aramiac), and found it is incompatible with the Torah, sorry!

Your question is phrased improperly. For you to use the word "still", they would have had to have been Jewish in the first place. Which 97 % of Messianics never were Jewish.
Their own man-god calls them the synagogue of their Satan, because they lie about being Jewish.
I think that shows they really don't believe the man-god the Romans made of the Greek tales and the combining of all pagan man-gods and the 16 crucified saviors.
Source(s): Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. - 5 years ago
Crimmy - we have explained this to you, politely, over and over and over. The fact that you choose not to believe us, doesn't alter the FACTS. Daniel - we are 'intolerant' of people who are lying and claiming to represent us, when they were NEVER Jewish to start with. Some 99% of Messianics were not Jewish to BEGIN WITH. You might like to know that not only Jews but also many Christians condemn Messianics because of their lies and deceptive methods of trying to convert Jews. Here are some groups that have outright condemned Messianics: The Episcopal Bishops of Maryland; The Archdiocese of Harrisburg, PA; The National Conference of Catholic Bishops, Washington D.C.; The Campus Ministry Board at American University in Washington, D.C.; The National Conference of Christians and Jews (Southern California Region); and The Interfaith Conference of Washington, D.C. (a group that includes the Roman Catholic Archdiocese as well as Baptist and mainline Protestant groups). MAX The minute a Jew begins practising another faith, ANY other faith, they step outside the Jewish nation and the Jewish people. No Jew worships Jesus - period. To do so is to reject everything that Judaism holds as sacred. You don't get to come along and REdefine the very defintion of 'Jewish'. And just because someone is BORN Jewish, that doesn't make their new Christian faith ' jewish'! By that 'logic', if a Jew converts to Hinduism, the Hindu religion would be 'jewish' in the same sense. Clearly, this is RUBBISH. EDIT A Jew who practises Christianity is an Apostate, and for all practical intents, a CHRISTIAN. The TORAH tells us that your beliefs do influence your Jewish status and that a person who was born a Jew can at some point temporarily cease to be called a Jew. In the Book of Kings, Elijah the prophet is sent to rebuke those Jews who were worshiping a foreign god called Baal. In I Kings 18:21, Elijah says to them, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is G-d, follow Him: but if Baal, follow him." In other words, you are either a Jew or a worshiper of Baal; you can't be both. Same goes for Christianity.

Some are, some aren't.
1 Timothy 1:4 ESV nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith.
Edit: Here's the problem. I know that I am a follower of the Christ. I do not in any way shape or form want to be identified with the Torah rejecting religion the world calls "Christianity" which is in fact paganism disguised in Biblical sounding language. Although when pressed in person I identify myself as Christian. But when a person starts to find out what I believe then they get real confused real fast because it does not fit their tradition. Forget the Bible, either the Hebrew or "Christian" scriptures, most have no idea what the actually say.
I also know that I am not a Jew. I do know, however, that all that come to the Christ are grafted into Israel (Romans 11, Isaiah 56). If Jews really bothered to read the New Testament, they will find that the Messiah never intended, nor did any of the New Testament writers, that His followers would abandon Torah.

Remember Psalms 19:14? " May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. " You hear it weekly in Temple, don't you?

Because they believe in Yeshua, that does not make them any less Jewish.

I'm an authority and I say they are.
Just because a hateful gabi, blivet, says they are not, doesn't make it so.

While the Apostle Paul taught that you need not become a Jew to become a Christian he also taught that you didn't have to give up your Jewishness to become a Christian.

Because as they are Christians they are supposed to view any form of dissent as persecution [Because Jebus said he would be unpopular] and thus the "dismissal," "Proves," to them they are correct.
It's a vicious, and very retarded Lernean hydra of self affirmation.
