Craftsman vs. Ryobi 10" Table Saw?

I want to buy a table saw and have narrowed my options between these two...

Craftsman:

Ryobi:

I'm usually a Craftsman guy, but I read a few bad reviews saying the table saw was cheaply built. Anyone have any experience using either or any feedback?

On little saws like this the problem is always in the fence and mounting mechanism. How rigid is it? What is its connection to the rail? How strong is the rail? You just can't get a quality product at those prices. It will last for a while then the fence will fail, the rail will warp, or you will bend the arbor of the motor itself. That's what happens. There is no getting around it. I'd personally suggest the Delta contractor's saw, but even that will fail over time and use. The real solution is to get a true table saw, a Delta 10" Unisaw with a Biesmeyer fence. But, those don't move easily. What are you trying to do?

Here are a few that would last a little longer than either you have referenced:

You get what you pay for. I don't know what you are trying to do, but I guarantee that I could bust the fence on either of those saws in about 3 days of hard work. Oh, and forget about accuracy, the fences just aren't built for it. If 1/4" accuracy isn't important and you don't mind getting bound up from time to time, either of the saws you mentioned will be fine...for a while.

Those little saws aren't worth the money. The tables are too small do any real cutting, the fences don't stay tight, and the blade drive is cheap. The arbor that holds the blade is too short to use a dado blade. Unless your cutting small pieces I'd look at a full size saw. I've had a Craftsman full size 10" saw for 8 years and it's still as true and accurate as the day it was new.

I have a Ryobi job site table saw. I love it. And it folds up so no storage problems.
