can two people share a glucose meter?

Is there a blood glucose meter that is designed to be used by two people?

Update:

Thanks to all for your answers. I am asking this because my parents are diabetics. It would be easier for us if the meter had a button or something that would allow us to switch between users and keep data for both rather than have them have to log their data. My mom is 74 and my dad is 79. Their health is not that great. This would make it easier.

There are none made to be used by two people, but it is a brilliant idea.

When your doctor looks at your numbers he/she wouldn't have anyway of knowing who's numbers belong to whom.

Yes, if you change the lancet point every time you check glucose, and not be lazy like me and change it once a week, but I am the only one who uses mine. Or you could have 2 lancet holders and mark them with initials or something.

Each should use their own log book to record the readings. Glucometers used by one person can give you the average of the week or month, but if two are using the same meter, then you don't want to save the readings.

Glucose meters are like anything else. As the technology gets better, the test results are more accurate. At this point they are still not perfect, evidenced by the fact that it can display a slightly different number mere moments later. But you should feel no sense of urgency in replacing the meter. As far as I know they last forever.

Any number of people can use a glucometer. It's just that you need to use your own lancet/needle to prick your finger. At camp some of us are in charge of checking everyones BG and we have only 2 glucometers (for over 20 people). As long as you write down your own readings and show those to the doctor it's fine.

Life style is often part of the issue. Life style changes now could delay or prevent you from getting diabetes later. Learn here https://tr.im/diabetesrelief

What you eat is not actually the cause of diabetes, but how you live can be. If you sit on the couch all day, your chances of developing diabetes goes up greatly.

Just do the best you can to not gain weight and to maintain an active life style and that will greatly help reduce some of your risks.

Yes, as my Accu Chek "performa" I read the booklet, it can handle alot.. i am sure 100 or over blood speciments of different people, but make sure to use a particular needle for each person, for strips eveyone will use his own,

I am sure it's possible for other glucometers as well, but for safety it's better to use ur own, if in the same family there are 2 or 3,, I guess they can use the same, just be sure about the needed to use new one for each time u use..

    good luck
