Holden Caulfield The Catcher In The Rye?
Imagine you were Holdens psychiatrist, you had to write a letter adressing him why you feel he should write an explanatory journal and how it might benefit him in his current mental condition.
All I can think about is how by writing that journal, he can remember some events that led him to the institution.
-we only read the first chapter and I'm suppose to write a letter, but I don't know what to say?
Help please?

Explain how the journal could contain all of the anger he builds up so that he doesn't release it at an unfavorable time. He can write all of his feelings and emotions into the journal so that they aren't bottled up inside.
That's all I can think of. I'm on the 12th chapter of the book now, and I hate it. The book goes absolutely nowhere.
