TV Picture Looks like 3D ?

My Bro-in-Law has as its labelled.. a 51" Sony TruSurround by SRS' .. Now I am sure this is a Projection Type TV.. as it is Very Big..(not like the Flat Screens you see out now!) The Picture looks like it is in 3D.. While watching Hockey last night.. the players, etc had a Green and a Red Shadow around them..(almost like 3D !) Did these TV's use Bulbs.. or a Gun like the Older CRT Screens did..? Is it Repairable for a Reasonable Cost..or destined for the Recycle Bin ?

Sounds like it needs the convergence adjusted find the manual and see what it says about the adjustment of the convergence might be an auto setting or manual setting in the tv menu..

I'm pretty sure they use bulbs. It sounds to me like the alignment of one of the colours is slightly out (Red or Green).

This looks like the 3d anaglyph system being used. it requires the old red and cyan glasses to work. it could have been a re- screening of a program that was in 3d anaglyph. and this tv seems to be fine to me
