Is Cleveland Ohio a nice place to visit or am I crazy?
I just told my Australian friend that Cleveland Ohio has some very nice places to visit, particularly in the Fall including the University Circle area, Severance Hall for the amazing Cleveland Orchestra, Shaker Heights, and other interesting neighborhoods and things to do downtown He looked at me as if I was crazy and told me Cleveland is not a nice place to visit. Can anyone share any insights here?

I agree with you Eddi. And don't forget about the Metro Parks and the Zoo as well as the Great Lakes Science Museum next to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I think Sept. can be the loveliest time of year here in Cleveland. It can be hot and humid one day and beautiful mid 70s the next with a chill in the air. If it's late enough in the month, the trees will have started their beautiful display of autumn foliage. Gardens are still going strong for delicious fresh veggies.

heyy!!! it is too! lol i lived there for 11 years and it is too nice
walking around shaker heights and cleveland heights is really nice
also go to the rock and roll hall of fame and if you can go see a cavs or an indians game (but never the browns- theyre just downright terrible (no offense to them)
and if ur a museum type person (im not at all) there is the cleveland museum of art which i think is open now (at least partially) after being renovated for what seems like forever or the cleveland museum of natural history
cleveland is not bad!!! grrrr... lol

Cleveland can be a very nice place to visit as long as your idea of a vacation isn't driving through the bad neighborhoods on the east side :P
We've got tons of stuff to do. There are certainly worse places to visit. People may say we're the most boring city in the country, but they're the ones missing out!

When my cousins came to visit me from Chicago, they had a blast. They're planning on visiting again this summer. I've had out of state friends visit me and they were impressed with Cleveland. I think Cleveland is a great place to visit and a great place to live. I don't know why some people have such a problem with Cleveland... maybe they've never been to the right places in Cleveland.

For foodstuff and beverages, W6th (in the Warehouse district) is the main suitable place to pass downtown. different than ingesting and procuring at Tower city (there's a action picture show in there too), stuff to do in Cleveland isn't so super. The technological awareness center is relaxing however and is amazingly on the factor of the hall of repute. you could fairly plenty walk to the places i've got pronounced in approximately 15 (perchance 20) minutes. you may desire to take the RTA practice (station is in Tower city) one end south to Ohio city. There are some neat places to save and eat on W. twenty 5th. be advantageous you learn out the super Lakes Brewery - good foodstuff and beer! additionally, you may desire to take the bus (the fifty 5 line, costs $3.50 for an all day bypass) to Edgewater Park and pass to the sea coast. Its no longer something specific, and that i does not propose particularly swimming, yet its something to do. have relaxing! (I forgot to function that i'd stay far flung from the residences. Its slightly slummy)
