How can I convince my parents to move to Hawaii?

Question

I feel like God has called on me to serve Him and move from Georgia to Hawaii. (Lihue, Kauai to be exact.) I had no desire to move there, and knew nothing about Hawaii. Now that i've researched it, i'm pretty stoked! I don't want it to seem like i'm just bringing up the idea to be selfish, it is for God and Him only. I'm looking up houses for sale, and it's obviously very expensive! We aren't exactly in the best financial situation to buy a house or make a living over there. Basically i'm asking for ideas on how i can make money to help my family be able to afford a home in Hawaii. If anyone knows where i can possibly get homes at a lower price? Also how can i get my parents completely on board with this idea! Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to read all of this.

And for those of you who say there is no God, it's obvious that you need Him. How anyone could waste their time spreading rediculous lies is beyond me. Also, i'm not pulling a "God Card." If God calls you, you'll know how it feels.

Convincing other people makes your job twice as hard.  If you are not old enough to go on your own then wait.  

Things to think about:

Cost of living is 2-3 times higher than Ga.
Be prepared to live on an island with limited land space.  Not everyone can do it.
In regard to religion:  If you are thinking about religious work, conversion, or a similar calling, be aware that not everyone is receptive to changing their beliefs, and some are downright hostile.  For the most part people want to live their lives without interference.  You will find it increasingly difficult, the further away from the south you get.  This is not meant as any sort of insult, just the truth.

Megan R: Why should she listen to someone who can't even spell some. 

I know you think God is calling to you but you have to understand that your family can't just give up their lives because you have a feeling. I know it would to be nice to fulfill your purpose but if God wanted you to then the situation you are in would fill the requirements to move to Hawaii.

I hope you get the chance to move there sometime though.

How old r u?  What is God 'calling' you to do in Hawaii?  
Are you qualified for it? 

The cost of living in Hawaii is probably the highest in the US, so affordability IS and always will be a huge issue; you may have to put this on hold for awhile so you can really think it through.

dont be discourage by the wordly words of some if god wants you in hawaii he will find a way to put you there but until  then ask him for patience and faith after all how long did the isrealites walk the desert

O.K., to convince your parents, just try little hints like- " Hawaii is looking really good, we should visit some time maybe." and maybe show them a brochure of Hawaii.
