If women actually won the right to be topless in public, would they still whine about men staring at them?

Inspired by an earlier question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkWU5...

Women like this always struck me as strange; they want to be exhibitionists, but they complain about people looking at their exhibits.

No guy ever complained about women staring at him, or treating him like an object; he actually EXPECTS the treatment that he receives when he acts like an object.

Update:

@Yvette: Women treat themselves as sex objects. You are just getting defensive because I called you out on your hypocrisy. And, BTW, you DID answer this question.

Update 2:

@KatieMedic: If no part of a woman's body is an exhibit, then why exhibit it? Most people who stare (or "ogle" as feminists put it) are unaware of what they are doing, as it is normally a reflex action to seeing something strange or visually titillating. If you don't like the reaction, then why are you going out of your way to provoke it? And why are you comparing staring with rape? Drama queen, much?

Poor feminists. How will we ever protect them from "eye rape"?

Maybe we should offer them free counseling ...

...on HOW TO GROW UP so that they don't get so upset when people "make faces" at them?

"OMG! I just got 'ogled'! I feel like such an object!" ((faints))

Poor feminists are such delicate flowers. No wonder they get paid half of what a man does; they seem to fold under the slightest amount of perceived pressure!

If the Feminists wanted this (that women go topless) they'd get it. They very nearly did - they campaigned for women to abandon their bras, for example. That's a sort of first step.

The thing is, if the Feminists wanted it, and demanded it, Western governments are so weak, they'd give in. But you could bet that the Feminists would make it a crime for a man to look at a topless women. Yep, probably punishable by an extended PRISON sentence.

They have made lesser "crimes" into prisonable offences.

Of course they would. Well, the women that fought for that anyways. I'm not going to make the mistake of lumping them all in one boat. However, the ones that want that would totally complain later, or they just really want to make it easier to have more casual sex. Ever notice that large women are the first to show cleavage? (and to be fair, how scrawny guys are the first to go shirtless?) This movement consists of the same women that want guys to pee sitting down because somehow that makes us "equal". Well, equal didn't mean "same". Sorry.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for equal treatment of the sexes, but we're not identical. The concept is simply that one is no better than the other. This particular movement (or the extreme version I should say, as there are feminists who aren't crazy) thinks that the only way to be of the same value is a man, is to be a man. Which, by the way, cripples them all over again.

Women whine about men starting even when they have clothes on. There would be no end to the complaining if they went topless. But, many of them secretly like the attention anyways.

Of course they would. Women love to complain about how men look at them, even though they put on all these things to look attractive, and drew this attention.

I think its hilarious how some people think that they can just decide whether someone chooses to look or to ogle. Wake up, you have no right to say what people do with their eyes. If you don't like it, put your top back on.

Of course! These are the same women who walk through darkened parks at night saying: "It's my right as a woman!"

And then when they get raped they blame ALL men for what happened to them.

Men are raised to take accountability for their actions. But it seems women are raised to forever be the victim.

In my area (Ontario, Canada) this is legal, and yes, they do complain. They complain even more if men ignore them, however.

I went topless in Greece and quite enjoyed it. I had no issues. I think if a woman goes topless, some men might look. However, there is a big difference between looking, a glance, and ogling. If I was at a beach topless and a guy looked, I would think that was normal. After all, I look at a good looking topless man. But leering and drooling is NOT okay. Why not? Because its down right creepy. No one wants to look up and see someone with a creepy little grin on his face while he sits there and stares for an hour. Its disrespectful and not civil. And yes, some guys find it uncomfortable when women stare at them for long periods of time. Why? Because no one is really comfortable being scrutinized.

But again, looking? A glance? Perfectly normal.

of course they will, why? because stupid feminists will be right there to make sure they are women are being seen as helpless victims
